2023 PRINCIPAL OF THE YEAR!

We send a HUGE congrats to Mt. Juliet Middle School Principal, Dr. Candis Angle for being named as the district’s “2023 Principal of the Year!”

The announcement was made this morning during the monthly principals meeting at the ATC.

She’s been with the district for nearly

40 years, serving in a variety of teaching, staff and administrative roles. Her past five years has been spent as principal at MJM.

Mt. Juliet Middle was recently named as a max Level 5 school for academic growth! They have received numerous honors under her leadership.

“I was just blown away by this honor because there are so many deserving principals,” said Dr. Angle. “This goes out to my fellow admins, teachers and staff as well. We lean on each other and help each other all the time. I’m just surrounded by an incredible team.”

Dr. Angle is from Wilson County and received her K-12 education from our schools. She’s a graduate of Mt. Juliet High School.

“Dr. Angle has a deep understanding of our community and she’s just an incredible leader,” said Director of Schools, Jeff Luttrell.

“She’s dedicated much of her life to education and to students. She’s an exemplary leader. We’re so fortunate have her as a principal in our district.” #WilsonProud
